What is the Holiday Hugs Program?
- The Holiday Hugs program at Salem Elementary allows for Salem families and community members to sponsor gifts for Salem students who request assistance.
- When you fill out the google form, you will have the opportunity to choose to RECEIVE gifts or GIVE gifts.
- SPONSOR AND RECIPIENT NAMES WILL REMAIN CONFIDENTIAL.
- Sponsors will fill out a form that asks how many students would you like to sponsor, name, email.
- Recipients will fill out a form that asks for size information, needs, and wish list items.
- The Student Support Services team will receive the forms and then match sponsors with recipient information, and will sent out that information by November 18 via email.
- Sponsors then purchase new items for the child: an outfit, a coat, a book, and a toy.
- Sponsors should bring wrapped gifts to Salem Elementary by Monday, December 7.
- We cannot accommodate requests to sponsor students of a specific age/gender.
- Paper form for recipients only can be found here.

Sponsor Details:
Sponsors will receive an email which will include the child number, gender, age, clothing sizes, wishes, and needs.
Please follow these guidelines when preparing gifts:

- Please wrap each gift.
- Please make sure each gift is visibly labeled with the child's assigned number included in the email.
- Please only provide new gift donations, no used items.
- If possible, please put gifts in a white garbage bag with drawstrings.
What am I signing up for?
You are signing up to purchase holiday gifts and needs for one or more Salem Elementary students.
What am I expected to purchase?
We ask that you commit to purchase one complete outfit (shirt, pants, shoes), a coat, a book, and a toy.
How will I know what to buy?
You will receive an email with the sizes, needs, and wish list items to give you ideas on what to get for your student.
Do I have to buy what is listed as wish list or needed items?
No, those are meant to be suggestions only; please purchase age-appropriate items.
When will I receive information on the child(ren) I'm sponsoring?
On or before November 18 via email.
